Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the EDSA Revolt that led to the ouster of the Philippines' long-time dictator, a disgraced, but once a genius of a man, Ferdinand Marcos.
Marcos lost the confidence of his people, previously silent, but silent no more. The swelling indignation finally spilled over to the streets, mainly finding its way to EDSA.
It is a given natural fact that if you have lost your command of the respect and trust of who you govern, you must acquiesce to such and never resist the tide.
Now, it's GMA's turn. The rising waters of discontent, to which she and her family greatly contributed to by casting upon the ocean of suffering a great burden, are about to break free from the dam of indifference.
In a democracy, mo man must ever ignore the fact that once you've lost the support of the people who placed you in power, you must relinquish such, immediately and without condition.
The mass has now found the proper venue to settle the score. And it is now, a score hence from the first People Power movement, that the score will be settled.
